He doesn't listen to the lyrics, he just likes the beat. That driving, pounding beat just gets to him. It makes him want to dance. Take off his shirt and dance and get sweaty. Then when they turn on the smoke machine, o man......

Sure, selling arms to Iran so we could fund a civil war in Nicaragua worked great in the 80s. Let's do it again!

Yeah, why have an unqualified Obama when you could have the man whose "military" service consisted entirely of defending Culver City from Communists?

To his credit, he would have intimate knowledge of the scope of Iran's arsenal.

Careful, don't drop your rose-coloured glasses.

Reagan signed California's Mulford Act in 1967. That made carrying a firearm in public verboten. He signed two pieces of legislation in the 80's; one which restricted certain types of handgun ammo (the infamous "cop killer bullets" bill) & another which prohibited the manufacture of firearms that could not be discovered by a metal detector (the "plastic gun" ban). Through an executive order he prohibited the import of shotguns that held over ten rounds. He supported the Brady Bill as well as the "assault weapons" ban.

I wish I could develop a system designed to where both sides can never agree on something and institute it for my country.

That way my citizens could FEEL like they had power and the responsibility WAS up to them.

Now if I could just find an example where thats being done today and copy their system.

I already did it to ARB lockers!

I like msahrs description . It's hard to debate with others why you DON'T approve of Obama, even more so when you're in a school where 3\4ths of the population are black people. No matter what you say, they think it's because he's black. Not fun. And of course, they are voting for him, for one reason, he is black. At least that's what I've gathered from everyones opinion in my class.

Interesting...........I have been making the point that Repubs are taking away rights and guns too............they are just doing it differently.

Hardly from being "Sheeple" (BTW I love that term...) I don't for one second think that there's a whole lot of difference between dems and repubs... Most of them are out for themselves, for power, for ego, and to hell with the people who voted them in. It's a huge screwed up system, you have politicians who say pretty things and look good on TV, you have a liberal media that sees itself as the mouthpiece of worry (remember we have a bad economy, global warming, people are losing their homes, we're all gonna die of cheeseburgers and dirty water and too much grilled food).

So people listen to this crap because they don't take the time to look elsewhere, they are busy working (remember they have to work their asses off because they are worried) and so they believe all this horseshit.

I know the repubs have taken away rights. In some ways they are worse than dems because they claim to be conservative, and instead of standing by their supposed principles, you know what got them elected in the first place) they "get along" with dems and let laws pass that chip away at freedoms. Not just gun rights, either.

With most dems you know what you are getting: More taxes, more laws, more handouts, less freedom, less national security, more appeasement. And to their credit, THEY STAND BY THEIR PRINCIPLES. Their principles are dead wrong and dangerous, but they stand by them.

So... I'm not a sheeple. Far from it.

I don't think people believe any of this shit, they just tend to vote so the guy they hate most doesn't get elected. If you really think there's a difference between any of these clowns than you are a sheeple.

You are preaching to the choir with your ramblings.........however, when you start claiming that being liberal means you hate america or whatever other BS is being said, then you have become a "sheeple"

Obama has personally pissed me off with his stupid comments like "Southern small towns rely on guns as a religion". He is THE most liberal person I have ever heard of\met. Last thing I remember hearing was "I believe people should be able to protect their family with a firearm, but they should not have a 15 round semi-automatic" What the hell does that mean? The bullet count now matters? Lets make all guns have one bullet? This guy has the POSSIBILITY of making the world a "better" place, but taking the guns away from the people that are using them for the right things (people who actually take the time to get a license to carry and own) is moronic. We don't need to worry about those people, we need to worry about the people who DON'T take the time and get the weapons illegally. If we get to the point where citizens\civilians of the U.S. are not allowed to have a firearm, or are limited drastically to what we can have, then we have lost. 2nd amendment is not made to be changed, or twisted, or eliminated, but that is what is happening, and has been. Obama will ruin it in my opinon.

He's proposing restricting gun purchases to one weapon a month and banning the sale of firearms at gun shows except for "antique" weapons. Obama is also proposing increasing the licensing fee to obtain a federal firearms license.

Obama is requiring that all people working at a gun dealer undergo a criminal background check. He's also asking that gun manufacturers be required to develop safety measures that permit only the original owner of the firearm to operate the weapon purchased.

Additionally, he wants an increase of the funds for schools to teach anger management skills for youth between the ages of 5-13. Obama is also seeking to increase the federal taxes by 500 percent on the sale of firearm, ammunition [sic] -- weapons he says are most commonly used in firearm deaths.

Either way, trust me, he will not win. If he does, he won't be in office very long. I can easily see someone taking this guy out, hasn't happened in awhile, but with someone threatening a amendment that so many people believe in and hold dearly, bad things are going to happen.
He said that small towns in Pennsylvania and their bitter citizens cling to guns and religion. Unless you are an eskimo, Pennsylvania is not "southern." Also, he is correct that firearms and ammunition are the most commonly used items in a firearm-related death.

Your post has not citations to any authority. Try again.

AFP: Obama camp spies endgame in Oregon

Obama camp spies endgame in Oregon

WASHINGTON (AFP) — Barack Obama set his sights on November's general election Saturday as he campaigned in Oregon, where he hopes to declare victory in the race for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Obama has said Tuesday's primaries in Oregon and Kentucky could mark the end of his drawn-out battle with rival Hillary Clinton, and his campaign pressed home that message by announcing a symbolic return to Iowa that day.

Iowa was the scene of the Illinois senator's first victory in the 2008 presidential nominating race, and his campaign noted Saturday it is "a critical general election state that Democrats must win in November."

Polls show Obama leading in Oregon, where 52 delegates are up for grabs, while Clinton is ahead in Kentucky, a state with 51 delegates that has a similar demographic to West Virginia, where she won a thumping victory Tuesday.

His campaign says he needs just 17 more pledged delegates won through state votes to reach a majority of 1,627, not counting the "superdelegates," party officials who can vote either way at August's Democratic national convention.

Using a baseball analogy, Obama said May 8 that if after Tuesday's primaries "we have a majority of pledged delegates, which is possible, then I think we can make a pretty strong claim that we have got the most runs and its the ninth inning and we have won."

The official finishing line is 2,025 delegates, including superdelegates.

During a rally in Roseburg, Oregon, Saturday, Obama presented himself as the front-runner almost without question, attacking presumptive Republican nominee John McCain on foreign policy, the environment and healthcare.

Reviving Friday's furious row sparked by President George W. Bush's suggestion that Democrats wanted to appease terrorists, Obama said that not talking to North Korea and Iran had only made those states stronger.

"I want everybody to be absolutely clear about this because George Bush and McCain have suggested that me being willing to sit down with our adversaries is a sign of weakness and sign of appeasement," he said.

He also attacked McCain's plan for a gas tax holiday to cope with rising pump prices, which Clinton supports, as well as his other environmental plans, saying the Republican had consistently opposed fuel efficiency standards.

"For him to come to Oregon as an environmental president, but his big strategy is to do more drilling and to have a gas tax holiday for three months, that's a phony solution," he said.

Pitching his message to Oregon's environmentally-conscious voters, Obama called on the United States to "lead by example" on global warming, and develop new technologies at home which could be exported to developing countries.

"We can't drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times ... and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK," Obama said.

"That's not leadership. That's not going to happen," he added.

The Illinois senator also argued that the differences between his healthcare plan and that of Clinton "pale in comparison to the differences we have with John McCain," whose proposals would only work "if you're healthy and wealthy."

The escalating rhetoric between Obama and McCain has evoked the kind of campaign battles more common in the immediate run-up to an election -- and emphasized further Obama's pole position in the Democratic race.

But Clinton has vowed to keep fighting until the end of the primary season on June 3, and campaigning in Kentucky Saturday, she defended the plan for the gas tax holiday and accused McCain of having no idea how to fund it.

"Senator McCain said let's give everybody a gas tax holiday but doesn't want to pay for it. I think I've got the best plan. Let the oil companies pay it out of their excess profits," she said.

Blue letters are hard to read. Just post in white like everybody else. We all know you didn't write it, so why differentiate?

Ah, so that's what the last seven years has been about; "getting along with dems".

Damned liberals pulling the strings again.

You lost what remaining credibility* you had when you dragged out that old chestnut "liberal media", the catch-phrase for barrel-stroking, black-helicopter watching subterranean RWNJs everywhere.

*don't worry, you didn't lose much.
