stop putting v8 engines in fj40's

the classics are few and far between you guys keep complaining about cruiser prices then you cut up a restoreable one for a frankencruiser. do it to a je*p no one cares about them and there is an endless supply of them

My 40 came with an old Chevy 350. It is being restored but with a new Chevy 5.3. Nice combo I think.

I personally like the idea of all stock and classic......but with that said....I think an FJ with a 3 cylinder Ford Festiva engine would be awesome.....can you imagine the work space under the hood!

Are you gonna take it with you? Have fun with it. Modify it. Use it. Who cares what everyone does with their Cruiser. Mind you own business. If you don't want a V-8, don't swap one in.

For the record, I'm sporting a 2F in my '71. I'll probably put a V-8 in my "Project Someday", my '63.

I have a 2F in mine right now....sourcing a V8 as we speak. And...I'm only 40 minutes from you. Feel free to come slap some sense into me.

BTW, wanna buy a great running 2F, H41 and 3 speed case?

Personally I prefer the 2f, & like the idea of keeping it stock...
But, to each his own. If you dont want a Landcruiser with a V8, dont shop for one.

And stop being a Douche!!....LOL Guppie.

to each his own, that being said, and since the door has been open...I do prefer stock all the way, BUT, just as Ziffdaddy said, ...it would be kind of cool to drop a new Corolla 4 banger in a DD to cut down on the fuel costs

Until the Corolla 4-banger started sucking gas to pull the weight of the Cruiser...
