HH, are you still running the weber in the 40?
are you happy with it?
I've got a spare aisin if you want it, (it's for a '75) was working okay when it came out, probably if you adjusted it properly it would be great

my class had a couple of real winners, one guy had never learned to ride a bicycle. I shit you not, he was brought up on a small island or something.
the bikes were def. minus some paint by the time that it was over.
I was one of 2-3 who had a substantial amount of seat time

wouldn't you think that, once you decided that motorcycles were for you, you'd maybe pick up a yardsale bicycle and learn how to keep that upright...

I had never ridden a motorcycle before I took the class back in 2000. I'd gotten myself a 1976 Kawasaki KZ750Ltd on the cheap and was already looking at my ST1100. I'd taken the written test and only needed to finish the MSF course and was then gonna be set to ride ride ride.

so you use your own bike for the course?

where I was they had a dozen little hondas that were property of the DMV and for instructional use only

I think if some of these folks would have been a lot gentler if it was their own bike
