And packing the dirty thing home...

we used to put the filthy post into an industrial sized plastic garbage and just deal with it at home...

Just don't let the drunk put the still hot pot in the plastic bag.
If you do, it will burn off next time.

That is all I cook in. I hate "non-stick" bullshit. A properly cared for Lodge cast iron is non-stick, and will last a lifetime and then some....
