I once quit a job and gave them two weeks notice. The employer asked for my keys (I was in management) and walked me to the time clock... punched the card and right out the door.

They never did get me all of my stuff. I lost lots of personal items including some tools.

I know. I have crap all over the building. Stuff in my locker in the gym, stuff in the kitchen, stuff in our communal work area.

Thinking I'll gather my books at keep them at my desk. Gonna leave the toaster oven and the coffee pot in the kitchen for now. But maybe I'll sharpie my name on them.

They are being continually surprised at the level of available plasticity of the brain and neurons in the body even late in life. The key seams to be to use them or at least exercise the limbs they control, and they seam to have a good chance of coming back.
