and I was basing my supposition upon this page from bikez.com (after having searched it for "yamaha 50"): Bikez.com - Search for motorcycle models.

when you search pw50 on that page, it brings up the current model, I L'd my AO at this:
Quote:
Fuel capacity:200.60 litres (53.00 gallons)
I would think that the tank would be a bit more... umm... bulbous with that sort of capacity

a friend had an older version that we used to beat around the neighborhood when I was younger, hence my knowledge of the lineage
I think that for a number of years they were known as a "y-zinger"

Just re-watched blood diamond.

Really good flick. Every time I see it I'm more sure I'm going back to Africa.

It is like every time I go down and pull a permit, they come up with some new and special additional requirement to do it. Latest is that now instead of paying for the permit when you get it... they have added a permit application fee and will not even look at the permit until that is paid... you also now have to pay for the permit in advance and they want you to keep money in a little city account that you can neither credit or debit without going to Growth Management and giving them a check for them to process.

The clerk Gatekeeper asked me why I just didn't put a few hundred into that account and then the city could withdraw it as it needed. I told her to give me a few hundred of hers to hold on to and that she could not get back if she ever wanted to and just let me disburse it as I saw fit when an occasion arrived where spending some of it was appropriate. She turned me down... imagine that.

Still dealing with this mindset of if we don't have a regulation to cover that we can develop a new one.

My certificate of Insurance is not longer sufficient. Now I have to find my Worker's Comp Exemption Certificate card and bring that with me... or there will be no permit.

I sent them a PDF of it and am going to try to have a meeting with the Director or Assistant Director this morning. I have jumped thu every hoop for over thirty years and would expect a little consideration.

I'm glad I started the rant now because it reminded me to copy the files to a thumb drive just in case they did not print out what I sent them.

I used to submit the permit applications by email over ten years ago... now I have to physically go down to their building and put money in the account so they will even look at the application and also bring them a hard copy (even though they have to physically store the paper) or of course I can mail it with the check for full payment, which of course they can not tell me how much it is.

They can not take credit cards so that I could have one on file that they could access for permit apps. sheeesh. [/RANT]
