Disinfecting is one thing, making safe for food is another. Bleach would kill viruses and bacteria, but I don't think it would do much to change the composition of the nasty chemicals used during embalming. I am not a chemist, though.

And "not porous"--to what degree? I know porcelain holds water, but does that mean carcinogenic molecules can't get stuck in micro-fissures in the finish and then later adhere to your fish?

We're teakettling the fud safetiness of an embalming table.

And, since it is a morgue table, not an embalming table, I'm fine with using it for fud.

Unless you take it outside and bleach it I think that a lot of that kind of stuff ends up in the sink. The chicken you eat at home prolly was bleached or has formaldehyde (or something equally as bad) in it unless it is free range or organic and no one is lying about it.


Of course your sink is a little small to do an entire human body in and the big bones would prolly mess up the disposal.

I usually buy free range organic chickens. Yes, they may be lying to me.

For disposing of human remains, I use the woodchipper.
