I'd probably only do it if there was no other option. It is possible but unless you were experienced working with plastic like that I wouldn't risk wrecking a good tank. If you did really want the bigger tank try on a cheap tank from the wreckers first to get the technique right.

Safari Tanks do a big tank for the XR400. Not sure how it compares size wise to the Clarke.

Mick--KTM is not set up with the dealer network here in the states like you apparently have in Australia. They are there in the bigger markets, but not in the smaller ones. In college a friend of mine who worked part time for an electrical contractor had a seat that was whipped. He used a shitload of electrical tape and wrapped the whole thing like a bat handle until it was solid. It looked okay from a distance and it worked for a while... right up until the black adhesive started oozing out from under the seams and sticking to everything he owned.

He then covered the seat in a few lawyers of burlap from used oyster bags. He was quite a card!
