They certainly wouldn't be a porblem for me on the drive up.

You would win that bet. And noone makes a larger aftermarket tank. Clarke has said for years that they were working on it, but now that Yamaha has changed the model finally for 2008 and gone to the XT250 it's not likely that Clarke will continue to pursue that project. So far noone on the various appropriate forums has found a larger tank that fits...

I'm tired. But then, I'm always tired lately.

On the bright side I finally got all my IBM crap working on my mac, I can ditch that POS work laptop now.

Someone at work with an expedition type bike has a large MSR fuel bottle rigged to his rack, I assume it's his reserve fuel.

Good Morning TuT. Another day. Taking dottir1 to a birthday party at an indoor bouncy gym tonight, that should be fun. There's one bouncy with high walls where I can get the waves to resonate and launch the kids way up if I time it just right

Time to add weights back into my workout. I'm up to 6 mile base runs, so I'll do three 6 mile days and 30 minutes of intervals once a week. After a month or so when I have a decent base I'll start ramping up my weekend run until it's 10 miles or so. If I can maintain that all summer, I should have no problem running the half marathon in the end of October and have sufficient base to ramp up to marathon training if I have the time and desire. But I think 1/2 is probably more reasonable.

OK--it's time to get serious. I've gotta transfer and re-register the trailer, get to the honda place to drop off the XR400 to have the new tires put on, pick up the ST1100, then later, go back and pick up the XR.

The marathon I would run is the first week in December.

I also want to ride the Lighthouse Century at the end of September. Start just outside of San Luis Obispo, ride out to the coastline at Morro Bay, turn inland for the hilly option, back out to the coast to Hearst Castle, turn around and ride back. The weather can be awesome or miserable, but it's always a beautiful ride.

The plan is to bring the family and camp in Morro Bay. My bro and his sorta GF would probably go too; bro would ride with me. We've done it twice together.

Unfortunately Morro Bay is on Arnold's campground closure list due to budget issues. So worst case my bro and I drive down and grab a cheap hotel room like we did a couple years ago.

So not buying another vehicle plays into my training plan well. I could put in 20 miles or so roundtrip that while not really adding to my cycling base, would burn calories, and I need to drop 15 lbs or so to get to my fighting weight.

Whenever I see or type or hear "Darjeeling" it reminds me of a girl I knew in highschool named Darlene. Darlene had spectacular boobs...

My all stainless steel cordless electric automatic water kettle here at the office appears to be brokeded. It's not shutting off automagically after the water boils any more. It will boil all the water off and go dry. I don't feel comfortable starting it and walking away any more. And as everyone knows, a watched kettle never boils.

Yeah, I was only concerned because it was my first fueling ever and I couldn't tell how much was in there...
