Yeah, I am used to it now. I think I have only been around online for one maybe two TUT changeovers. This is normal for me.

so apparently the truck i was looking at is in need of a front end rebuild, flasher, wiper relay. approxiamtely 2 grand. and the mechanic said that after a cold start he heard some piston slap
googled the piston slap, and it seems like something that the chebby's will do for a loong loong time with no real ill effects. so if I can pick up a 97 for 4500, throw 2000 at the front end and electrical, and potentially need a new 350 in a year or two, have I won? assuming 3 grand for the motor, that puts me in for 9500 on a 97, absolutely rust free with a new motor I think I might just go there. opinions? |

Quote DD ; I've heard good things about the MT21's . . .
They wear well and have good grip in a straight line but be careful when cornering. The grip when banked over can be a little unpredictable. __________________ 90 HZJ80 GXL, DTS turbo, 285/75R16 MTR's, 4" OME, Safari snorkel, ARB airlocker, ARB bullbar, 9500lb winch, ARB dual pivot rear bar, 39L Engel, water tank, dual batts, sliding drawers, cargo barrier, underbonnet shower, laptop, GPS, oziexplorer, etc.... 99 HZJ105R GXL, alloy bullbar, Safari snorkel, more to come.....watch this space.......... |

Bit stiff and sore today. I went for a run with the FIL yesterday afternoon. He normally runs half marathons so he is a fit old fart. I managed to keep up for the first five kms but then I had to turn round and walk home. I was stuffed

Maybe we should take a pole of what the poll should be... or just poke it several times.

I have not even thought about them for more than forty years... I can remember putting on candy in my mouth at the theater (I liked the red one the best, yellow one second best) and moving it around until the sugar came off and the candy was smooth as Junket or custard (also something I have not had or enjoyed in years).
Like Claudia, I must be getting old.

Mornin' Mickldo! Got those pics yet or did you find the camera.
If there are so few of the first baby, there very well may be none of the third or forth. ![]() Make sure you make copies of all you have to several different kinds of media and don't forget to make the required archival prints as a just in case. My sister had gotten double pics of her first child and always sent one of the sets to my mom. Mom's set came in real handy when sister's apartment burned down and they lost everything except their pajamas and the baby. She was digging through the ashes the days after the fire looking for hubby's wedding ring and anything else that survived the disaster. I know nothing like that will happen to you but always better safe than sorry. You can't rely on me since the only copy of a pic I snagged of you was the one with the longtail tuna. __________________ SR+ steven d philbrick srplus@hotmail.com '86FJ60 - 'BlueBird' . HI POO! I just hit the switch and missed this... and also the fact that I was in #30 and not #29. When I did the SBT later in the evening I had the same deal and was not worried about post counts or the K... when I put the machine into hibernation last nite and then went back into chat this morning, TUT was at the top of the page. I did not realize when I awoke and flipped the switch that IE hadn't refreshed and I just went into the #29.
Gosh I am rambling... what I need are shorter posts to buttress the count. __________________ SR+ steven d philbrick srplus@hotmail.com '86FJ60 - 'BlueBird' . '69 fj40 SOA - 'Piney Woods Rooter' . "nothin' but the best for my hawgs." - the great santini

Can you smoke it like Sense?
Because it sure smells like someone has already done that when you get it!

Stinky quote: I just saw the strangest truck in Alamosa. It was white, looked like a J7 with no top, pickup bed and silver rims. The truck was white and was on the back of a semi with a bunch of other equipment...
Yoop quote: Mine truck. HZJ78 probably Early 75's had bolt on roofs and fold down windscreens. Later 78's lost that. The cabs on the later ones are all one piece.
