Rent it out and the entire conversation is irrelevant. Keep the place, let someone else pay your taxes and be done with it. Use a local agent to oversee, of course. The market for rentals is gonna be a LOT stronger than the market for sales for a long time, it seems. A good, solid home in the right area will stay rented to quality peeps too.
