Some Land Cruiser diffs don't have access covers. The only option to access is to pull the third member . . .

Get a tube of the black RTV to seal it back up. What I did was apply the RTV then finger tighten the bolts and let it sit overnight before I torqued them down. Cured a long time leak that way.

If you really wanted to do a flush you could do what we used to do with helicopters. Drain old, fill with new, run it, drain again, refill, run repeat for the required iterations. If you had serious contamination I would fill it and run it for a few hundred miles and then change it again. If the stuff that came out the second time looked clean, I would call it good.

With no inner seals Cruiser axles hold a shitpot of oil, your method could get expensive fast.

The same was true with the helicopters too--and you were paying for those changes as well!

It was very hard to talk to the guy and tell him nicely that he was under capitalized and several steps away from having enough wherewithall to do as much for me and my wife as I could do for him.

Oh you are right about that. It was just a suggestion if there was a true need for a true flush. I would only do it if I sensed a problem or serious contamination. Like mud in there.

back in the early 1900's women used lysol to douche with, cause the label stated it was a effective contraceptive.

I submit to you:
Why should TUT depend upon the hand of a benevolent sovereign for the birthing of a new TUT? Having done so in the past is no reason for that quaint practice to continue unexamined and unaltered. It is no slight to said benevolent sovereign when we say the TUT is TUT and the pregnant expectancy of imminent birthing that comes whence 15,000+ posts have been reached can most-readily be reacted to by the loyal forces in the field as contrasted to the sovereign in the throne room. We can manage this transition, can we not?

Live trap a coyote and put it in the house. Well then you would have to release a cougar in your house to get the coyote...unless you don't mind shootin up the place and fearing for your life when you are going to the shitter.
