One word - winter.

It is a great time to do a winter trip...
no no-see-ums or swamp mosquitoes...
also do in in the more saline end of the estuary
when the breeze is coming from the south.

Great time to see the wildlife and lots of ducks winter there.

The FSU Credit Union float is on the TV parade for Springtime Tallahassee.

Downtown avoidance behavior engaged in.

We are still going to head south about 20 miles
and kayak on the river once we can get outta the neighborhood.

I have been offered a job with the Food and Ag Department but am waiting for word about the laboratory job before I decide...

The lab job will pay a lot more; the Ag job, though the pay is shitty, offers 4-day weeks and fieldwork. It's more of an entry-level position, and temporary.

Here is a pic of my first 'trail bike' - Honda Dream... we chopped the flare off the front fender and I use to ride it with a buddy that had a Honda 350 Scrambler.
