Both of mine are 1HZ's. What's an ECU?
I downloaded the 80 and 100 genuine workshop manuals from the diesel tech section. I'll have look at the wiring diagram and try to figure out a way to wire up an aftermarket loom.

NO NO NO
Vegas is the only habitable part of the state. Stop there for three or four days and win win win big big big
Why you could probably retire from what you will win on the tables.

Simon, if you and the mrs. like to gamble a bit, let me know. There are quite a few Indian casinos that have been built in California, operated by the big gaming industry. Basically, the same gambling experience without the Nevada sleaziness.

We have fucking buffets, the fucking canucks arrive in busloads to go to them. Then they all go to Costco to load up on booze and cheap plastic gee gaws.

Option 1: I-15 to Las Vegas (thru Baker, site of the World's Largest Thermometer...), stay O/N in Vegas, then south on 93, see Hoover Dam, get on I-40 in Kingman, check out the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, and get out east to Cameron Trading post in the Rez (stay O/N?)- that puts you on our route to Blanding. Drive across the Rez to Kayenta, then get on 163 thru Monument Valley, drive the loop in Valley of the Gods, up and down Moki Dugway, check out the Goosenecks of the San Juan along the way, then continue north and get on 191 just outside Bluff UT and continue to Blanding.
Have you ever been in a Joshua Tree Forest?
2 ways to see one, one along the way:
Option 2: see above, except from Las Vegas, take 95 south. In Searchlight, NV, take a detour westwards to see the trees, then continue south until I-40, rest is as above.
Option 3: Get on I-10. Take a left after San Gorgonio (it's either Morongo or Morena Valley, and go towards Twentynine Palms and into Joshua Tree. Check out the overlook across the valley from Palm Springs and the Joshua tees and awesome rock formations along the way, and drive across the Park and come out on I-10 at Cottonwood. I'd then turn off I-10 at Desert Center (IIRC, I type this from memory, and keep in mind, I'm a desert rat who likes driving thru miles of dirt and creosote... ), checkerboard north/east thru the desert and check out Amboy Crater before you get on I-40. Grand Canyon etc. as above.
