Yeah, finding a good breeder can be tough. Our neighbors have two weimars and one of them is batshit insane. The other is really smart.
Ours was suuuuper loyal and always wished we would hunt for her. She would point at squirrels and various other animals in the back yard for hours at a time before she would get sick of waiting for us to shoot it and she would just stealthily creep up on it. She got pretty good and had about a 40% success rate, at which point the number of critters declined pretty quickly. She even caught a bird mid-flight once
She was a really good dog; I think I'd be pissed if I got another weimar and it wasn't as personable (but I think you'd have to pick a really good litter, she was definitely smarter than most). My only complaint about her was that we got her when I was about 4 and so she outgrew me for the first few years pretty quickly. Thus she always had this complex that she was dominant over me (I didn't feed her that often either) and she would occasionally snap at me. I was the only one though, and when she was about 6 she did it and got me, at which point reflexively smacked the shit out of her face and then picked her up by her choke chain and carried her (all 80pds or so) out to the back yard. She didn't screw with me for a long while after that.

i have a buddy who was a senior project manager for a nationwide big box. he had to "endure" being wined and dined by his contractors. he had italian contractors in quebec and they would bombard him with sicilian wines and grappa. I would get into work to find incoherent emails he sent when he got back to his hotel room at 3am.

today's work:
I had this how to plot the postdork's data
I proceed
I run into a problem - I figure it out
Michael finds the plot too complicated
I devise a different plot
I proceed
I run into a problem that cannot be solved in this type of plot
I discuss with another one of my postdocs
we determine the first method was best
I am back to redoing what I did in the morning
my achievement of the day:
I now know how I should be doing it
