I have heard this same things from almost everyone I've talked to. Much like Land Cruisers in that regard, I reckon.

I cut my teeth on a 78 Honda Trail 90.

I miss that thing.

The bike he rode to class was a fucking sweet Triumph Daytona.

gear oil is a lot more viscous than atf. i would be nervous about the wear on the t-case using something other than what Mr. T specs. My suggestion is that you not do this unless

a-you see atf in your t-case fluid
b-you see gear oil in your atf..
c- you are losing t-case oil with no apparent leak

Agree.

If your ATF is pink and transparentish and doesn't stink stop worrying about it and put gear oil in the tcase.

If your ATF is contaminated, get a new seal. This is unlikely - it happens but not that often.

I spent the morning at the library with Zoe and Paige. I taught Zoe a brief lesson on how to find books there, and showed her the Children's Section and the Young Adult section. We spent most of the morning looking at an oversized book about African wildlife, reading facts to each other........

werd.

Last I checked, the ATF looked fine. Gear oil it is.

The only seal that has (minor) issues is the rear main. And it's been like that for 3 years now.
