If you like licorice, get some Black Opal licorice. I am eating some right now. It's from Australia, and Target carries it.

If you don't like licorice, just drink some beer.

i had to go to medium smoke today so just got back. I have ended up with a heat shrinakable solder splice butt connectors. never used them before, but i could not get any bullet connectors which was my first choice since I do not like my chances of holding both wires in position at the same time given the location. I also have some "weatherproof" heatshrink crimp butt connectors, but they are the single crimp kind and I do not really trust them for this application. ideally i wanted the bullet kind where you can slide the heat shrink plastic off to solder the crimp.

So, the wife finally noticed that I never turned the safe search filter on. It is now set to "Moderate Safesearch"---hmm, I wonder what caused that?

Translated from Latin, Semper Fidelis means "Always Faithful." U.S. Marines use an abbreviated verbal version, "Semper Fi," to voice loyalty and commitment to their Marine comrades-in-arms. Previous mottos of the Marine Corps were (1) To the Shores of Tripoli, adopted in 1805; (2) Fortitude, adopted in 1812; (3) From the Halls of Montezuma to the Shores of Tripoli, adopted in 1848; and (4) By Sea and by Land, adopted in the 1850's.
Well, what do you know.

me too, but I think that the problem was that it was cut too short to solder?

I just use bulk crimps and glue type heat shrink tube. I select the crip that will just pass the wires laid side by side. If I need extra strength, I use two or three crimps and a longer heat shrink tube. Sometimes I'll even put a SS braid layer and another heatshrink tube over it all if it is in a high wear place. Can be fun getting all that lined up on a wire before doing a splice.

For holding wires in tight places I have a couple of long nose forceps with surgical tubing over the jaws. I use them to immobilize the wires where I want them.

What are these bullet connectors? I've seen but not used the ones in the photo.

yoopers motorcycle purchase triggered my own need for motorcycle spending, so I picked up a bunch of gear.
it is really hard to find dirt bike gear that doesn't look like it was made for a fifteen year old...
