look at the location of the gutter/windows on the far right of the west elevation. I had them centred on that part of the building but the architect has offset them to the right for aesthetic reasons because it looked too symmetrical to him. it looks wonky to me.
Also, for the north elevation. I had the old garage centred on the wall it butts up against, but he has offset it one foot, so that it is centred for the slightly narrower garage building at the opposite end (the centre section protrudes an extra 2' east). he says he did this to make flow through access easier but it looks wonky to me and i can't see one foot making any difference.
i think the architect just h8s symmetry

i avoid all sponsored results. sponsored results are usually spammy and reaching too hard to fit the search. the first non sponsored result is more likely to be what I want, unless I don't actually want to buy something or read the wiki entyr in which case what I am looking for will start somewhere on page 2 if I am lucky...

if he doesn't have technical reasons, what does he care what it looks like - he doesn't have to see it every day
if you want it symmetrical, just tell him you have OCD and he would sure not want to be responsible for the potential adverse health effects a non-symmetrical design could have, including but not limited to life-long therapy sessions, expensive medications, marriage reconciliation, and remidial aesthetic theory classes for your kids.....

To me, "centred" just looks wrong. The word, I mean.
Just to make a point about personal preference. Sometimes, centered designs look, well, too artificial. I would look at your main building and see what the default there is. Are all the windows centered on the walls? Or is a slight offset the usual choice? Follow that as your guide.
I kind of like the uncentered ones for the simple reason it is sort of a cobbled together, rambling style. But that's just me.

Of course, he could simply offset the decimal point one digit to the left when writing the check.

So, we spent the weekend visiting 's HS friend. This is her oldest friend, known each other for 35 years. Last summer, there was a family tragedy--her 5 y.o. son was run over by a truck. Nearly died, wound up *only* paralyzed--limited use of hands. It's been 7 months since the accident, but things have been so hectic, this is the first time she's felt in control enough to have us visit. In that time, she's dealt with the tragedy, found the best program for her son, moved with her son to that city, kept her job by working half-time, kept the insurers footing most of the bill by giving them a Powerpoint presentation about her son's recovery and the settlement they expect, shuttled her daughter to and from their home town for weekends, and somehow kept going. And on top of it all, the stress of this has put an end to her marriage. Oy.
Anyway, the weekend was great, actually. Hectic, but great. While we were there, her son came down with the flu. So, the first two days were mostly us and her daughter, while she looked after her son. The girl obviously is glad to have the company of my daughter, and enjoys the museum, the hotel pool, etc., but I could tell she was a little at odds having fun without her family--they're never all in the same place anymore, it seems.
So, this boy is in a wheelchair, he's got a tracheotomy, and he has the flu, but today he was up for taking a stroll along the waterfront. I was informed that the womenfolk would be staying put and talking, and I would have all four kids on this walk. So, here I am accompanying this 6 year old boy, in his $22k wheelchair, along a half-mile route full of ramps, gangways, piers, etc., with an 8 foot drop into the harbor, with no railing. The kid is racing ahead, woozy from the flu, and wanting to go all over the place to see the ducks. And all the while I'm thinking "If he goes over, I have to jump in after him immediately because he's going to sink like a stone and will need to have his seatbelt unbuckled to get to the surface, and fuck the wheelchair; if someone else goes over, they're on their own because I need to stick next to Captain Pike here to make sure he's not the next one in; oh, and just how do you perform CPR on someone with a tracheotomy?" So, anyway, we go the half-mile, turn back at which point his batteries drain, so I have to push him back, up and down all those ramps--and he and the chair weight about 250+ lbs.
Anyway, we got back, and I told her how the walk went, including my worries about him falling in the water, the narrow pier we went out on, etc., and she was all "Oh, that's okay, I'm glad he had fun." She's gotten to the point that she's fine with an high element of risk, as long as her son enjoys himself.
So, at the end of our trip, we drove her daughter back home to NJ, and dropped her off with her dad. She obviously was glad to see him, but sad to see us go, and sad that her mom and brother were 200 miles away.
Soooooo, I am fine with my life right now.

I find the sad life moments are the ones that teach us the most. Like enjoying all those good, happy life moments.
Glad you had a good time. Glad the clan had a good time too, especially the little boy. To him.

My thoughts below... if the garage doors swing and meet in the middle then the support needs to support the bottom in the middle...
I think the symmetry of your original window placement looks better.
You gave him the original and you are the one that is going to have to live with it so have him draw it as you conceived it and prefer.

I intend to closely monitor the results (if there are any) and if there are no additional jobs resulting from the advertising listing then obviously they are not working. I will let you know.
I am just looking for ppl being directed to the site that are actually looking to hire my services. I am hoping those ppl will look at the results at the right to see that I have what it is that they were searching for.

One job that results from the listing every four months will more than pay for the advertising budget that I have set aside for the listing. If I find that my competitors or just curious ppl are the only ones clicking on the pay per click link - it will QUICKLY disappear.

One-handed opening is easy, one-handed closing not so much, but better that way than the other way 'round.

I realize that that is what many people do... I always look at who is on the list to the right and if they specifically have what I am searching for or are just in there because they have money to burn. I have found several relevant trade links for my targeted searches... I have looked at and bookmarked all of the ones that apply to the type of business that I am trying to promote.
I am the only one that is listing and providing Signage Appraisal Services that I know of.

I usually don't care for them, but these turned out gud.
I used a bag of steam-in-the-micro ones.
I rendered a couple slices of diced bacon in a skillet. Took the bacon out, browned a tenderloin I had rubbed with lemon zest, salt, pepper, coriander, and garlic powder in teh fat. Then added some apple juice.
Took the pr0k out when it was done, and put the bruskel sprouts in, plus more apple juice, and some of the rub. Topped it all with the bacon yummies.
I liked it, except there was too much salt in the rub.

Fresh sprouts, trim the stems, cut an "X" in the stem, coat lightly with EVOO and basalmic vinegar, roast in oven.
Yours sounds yummy, even though I tend to not like my meats and my veggies prepared with the same sauce/rub/glaze/whatever. I'm into contrast.

I think the symmetry of your original window placement looks better.
You gave him the original and you are the one that is going to have to live with it so have him draw it as you conceived it and prefer.

nice job with the cross piece overlay the and I were debating adding that last night so I will have to show her your handywork.
I could just run a single oppositional cross piece on the inside of the door.
