This primarily for grrl
(but for others who might have a use for converting a web page or html to a pdf file)
htm2pdf | convert your html to pdfs
This very useful website will convert any html code or web page to a pdf file... this would be very useful converting receipts, credit card payment confirmations, etc. INSTEAD of cutting and pasting into a document or having to print out a hard copy.
It is fairly fast and seems to do a good job doing what it is supposed to do. It will also keep any links on the page active links if selected and will also convert flash (don't ask me how it does this) but it has an option to include flash movies.
grrl: is there one that will do the reverse that you know of - convert pdf to html?

Any Macintosh can make anything into a .pdf because the .pdf technology is built into the OS. You just print to .pdf...

Perth. Back to Sydney tomorrow. Ran 22k i the bush the other day then 11k the next day! Monday we went on a wine cruise on the Swan River. Noice. Today we did other touristy stuff and got to pet kangaroos, a wombat and a couple Koala. They were bundles of energy

While I was on the 11K on Sunday near Quinns Beach, I ended up by myself for a bit due to what I believed to be a short cut and a 6 foot kangaroo about ran me dow. It was quite funny!

Aces. Now you know why the Aussies are so uptight, they got it from the 'roos.
Have you tried driving?

Halllooooooo Hugh.
So I'm beginning to hear/read rumors that Uncle Sugar is going to bail out people that are upside down on their homes. Congressmen Schumer and Dodd are working proposals to do so with about $200b of taxpayer dollars.
America is great. I can finance a house I can't afford, borrow against it to buy cars, boats, tv's and quads I can't afford. Then, when the over-inflated* value of the house plummets and I can no longer make the payments, my neighbors that were fiscally conservative and responsible will pick up the tab for my largess and irresponsibility.
*Note hyphen use.

Yes I know that and also there are some tips in the newest MacWorld magazine in the Secrets section on page 82 about "Preview's Hidden Powers" that you might find interesting.
Does it have a way to convert .pdf back to html? I had not heard of an easy way to do that.

There will never be an easy way to do it well because html pretty much sucks.

The library's policies are very flexible. The borrowing period is indefinite, and can be transferred to other TUT library card holders.

And Claudia. It was the second half of her secret fucker gift, but I got it too late to send to her before her trip, and then I found out that she already had a copy, so she suggested I send it on to you. So then I devised the TUT Library concept, but let the book age on my shelf a month or so.

In 20min you will not be able to shower if you are on City of Alamosa water.
This town is going to stink.
More than usual.
(Although it will be kind of bleachy)

The .pdf format was created so that a document will look exactly the same, no matter what screen you're looking at what OS you're using and what printer you have. To achieve this, all the data is "locked."
The short answer is, no.
Though there is some sort of high end technology out there that the search engines use to search pdfs and render their content on the web, but I'm sure it's out of our reach, and the results are ass-ugly.

Do us all a favor and jump in the shower... or pour a gallon of bleach into the bath tub, fill it with water and take a bath.

That is one of the things that I am curious about... when I do a search for "sign consultant" on Google, a lot of .pdf files pop up. So I am pretty sure their standard search engine is scanning the text in the document. I had thought about making some pages for my site in .pdf and linking them to the html pages to see if they would be found on the first pages of the targeted searches.
What do you think?
