I think I just found my motorcycle. A local guy who is selling a Suzuki DR350 contacted me on advrider and after conversing a bit we both realized that the DR350 is the wrong bike for me, and then he gave me this tip on exactly what I am looking for at a price much less than I have seen to date! And it's only a two hour drive from here.

WHOAH. The shop that is selling it is coming to the U.P. Boat and Sport Show here in Marquette this weekend. I'm going to call them tomorrow and see if they'll bring the bike.

It's not an auction, just a used bike at a small shop in the middle of the UP, so you can't snipe me until they open tomorrow morning. They are not a Yamaha dealer; this was probably a trade in on a fishing boat or a snow machine or something. This combination of factors is why the price is good.

I too am ready for a paycheck. I also miss doing geology. My 'time off' has been very practical for the family, though alot of it wasn't very fun. Some of it has been a real hoot.

Yeah, 121 miles is pretty good. I noticed in the reviews they say that bike is good for those who are "short in inseam."
