I think of it as just one more expensive device to take care of and keep track of.
I guess what I saw in action was only a fancy computer dictionary/translator. It did do pronunciation. Pronunciation in spanish isn't all that bad though. Chinese brings the suck.
There are iPod programs that do it too.

Fred's endorsement of the Mazda3 has changed my perspective. If you're buying a car and you want a pull no punches eval, I think Fred is the man to do it.
