that looks like a good enough hose clamp assuming it has a sleeve. you prolly just need to thoroughly clean the nipple with emery cloth, and if that doesn't work you need a new hose.

"digital zoom" is a waste of time, don't bother; it gives you nothing and makes it harder to frame the shot.
I meant to zoom to full optical tele only; you can crop it later and get the same effect as digital zoom.
I've been pretty happy with my lens except for when I tried to take pics of the lunar eclipse. I finally slapped myself in the forehead a few days later when I figured out the problem I was having, a blue reflection, was from the UV filter I leave on there all the time.
