NO, health care at THAT Vegas facility is scary. Be clear on what you are bashing as I am sure there are many good, even great, facilities there that would not do such a thing.

I am sure there are stories in most every big city about some place cutting corners somehow. Maybe even reusing needles. Those stories have just not come to light yet. There is good and bad in every profession.

Which pack?!?

And what kinda dogs? I had some pics of ours...the pack is awesome, she digs it. Gets all excited when we get the pack out because she knows some serious running is gonna happen soon.

Just for the record, I never tease. But I still stand by my bribes as being the most effective form when we are talking about Ullr. Of course, if I had access to the :cough: "other" stuff he likes, I might have included that too.

Noice.

I've always wanted to build a baja bug and do some racing...

Who knows why.

A freind who usto have a rally racing team wanted me to drive for him after one snowy drive from Omaha to Minneapolis. Seams I wasn't much behind his usual dry road time for the same trip. He nicknamed me Jedi driver after that trip. To him it looked like I was steering before the truck was effected by the road condition changes. What I finally got through his noggin was I was minutely feeling the vehicle respond to the road and steering to that. I was changing the steering before the change in the road conditions could fully effect the direction the body of the truck was going. Because of that the truck went in a nearly straight line despite hitting ice patches and snow drifts. I should have taken him up on the offer, but Aspergers got in the way as that was change and new...

If you want to rally drive, find a large flat dirt area where you can setup some cones. Learn to do corners at faster and faster speeds, feeling how the car changes in it's handling. There will be 4 to 5 different ways it will drive through the corner and changing power input multiplies that. Each will have it's own steering input needed to keep it in the grove around the corner. You need to know how to read what the car is doing in relationship to the road, and respond the right way. You will need to know how to change your response when the car changes from one mode to another as it goes through the turn. A straight road is a curve with an infinite radius.

The vibration from each wheel changes as it goes from being in good contact with the road to slipping and there is a progression between the states. The vehicle will also minutely change in direction as the balance of well stuck to slipping wheels has changed. Eventually you will know which wheel or wheels are loosing or have lost grip. With that you can make the small steering input changes to keep the vehicle on track.
Wordy fucker!

I can't stand starbucks coffee. Cracks me up that all the folks at work get all hot and bothered, and make a big fuss if someone brings in the 'good' stuff from starbucks. Donkey piss if you ask me.

There's just so much better roasters, even in this town, with nice fresh oily beans.

Mmmm...

(yes I just said fresh oily beans)

We enter a sweeping S turn at around 50mph...mid way through we hit a patch of gravel and the back end lets loose on him...he over corrects (and hits the breaks ), and we end up doing a few skidding turns before we hit the embankment, which launches the car up at an angle (almost flipped the car ) we do a 180 and are left sitting there going WTF? (I knew as soon as we hit the gravel that it wasn't gonna end well, and made sure I was braced for impact) thankfully no one was hurt and the car only suffered minor damage to the steering rack (and a broken windshield)

need less to say I no long rally with that friend while he is driving...I trust my skills waaaay more than his
When in doubt, power out!

I'm sure you are right. Its not fair to doom an entire profession citywide together.

Its just the talk of the town. And my personal experiences have been poor, so I tend to think they are all that way. I know for a fact that there are some very reputable/ethical/experienced practices here.

I still think that Vegas healthcare is scary though.
