6 days to the season opening of camp R&R.... We will be spending spring break there, which starts a week from now. I expect the lake to still be frozen over, average ice out is mid April and it's been mostly below freezing lately, only a few days in the 40s.

Lake Superior is melting though. The harbor is open and the first coal boat came in to the power plant this week.

is still dieting... this AM she is 'drinking' breakfast and it is nothing alcoholic but comes in a can and tastes like baby formula with chocolate in it.


Pffffffffffft! I can't stand the stuff but since she is trying really hard I will hold off making the toast with butter and three over easy until she is at the pool swimming. I might have some extra sharp cheddar on the eggs to insure sufficient fat content.

Haven't even been in a swimsuit for years but did try a few months ago when we were down in south Florida... I looked ridiculous. The suit was prolly eight years old and way out of style (like I ever owned one in style)... and it was for 42 - 44 waist and mine now is 36... plus the awful sight of all of that old looking white skin was too much for me. I used to just have white feet and ankles and a white ring around the middle... but skin doctor does not want me wearing shorts any more. I may say the hell with him this summer because they are so much cooler.

But the really white feet and ankles is always a laugher.
