The point was for you to prove that there is a god. So you should walk out in front of a semi doing 75 mph. Then if you survive, the gold is yours.
What's the matter? Your faith not that strong? Pussy.

I thought it was built on a crust approximately 62 miles thick, atop an upper mantle approximately 400 miles thick, a mantle, and an inner and outer core.
And rock 'n' roll.

Back to the original question.
According to Jesus, you shouldn't need any money, or your bible!
Luke 10:4
"Carry neither purse, nor scrip, nor shoes: and salute no man by the way."
Oh, and no guns for those spreading the good word either.
Luke 10:3
"Go your ways: behold, I send you forth as lambs among wolves."

Noooo....that would just prove the laws of physics, or possibly the laws of stupidity. Plus it's been tried already: where do you think I got the one million in gold bars?

woo-hoo
how do you know a painter exist?
we have the painting that he/she does
how do we know that a building was designed by an architect?
because thousands of pieces have been assembled in order for a purpose
landcruisers don't just happen because a tornado goes through a junk yard (that would be a jeep) they are built and assemble in the way their designer planned.
giraffes are not just long necked horses, they have been designed to live in a way nothing else can.
woodpeckers are not just birds that bang on trees, they have been designed to drill holes and pull out bugs with their tongue.
the library of congress has millions of publications on hundreds of miles of shelves. even if your were bold enough to say you had them all memorized you would still have less than 1% of the universe's information known. to say that there is no God is like saying you know all the information in the universe and have concluded there is no God.
Are you really that smart?

actually I have good faith but I am not stupid. You don't test God. I have faith that he exists. The person that I replied to seems to think God doesn't exist. If he/she survives when hit by an 18 wheeler I think he will have the answer and if he dies then he will find out very shortly first hand that God does actually exist and hell is really hot.

Ya know I heard a good joke once that fits the situation.
These two scientists called God and said, "God we don't need you anymore, we have figured out how to make a human being out of dirt. So we will just go on without you now."
God says, "Okay but before you throw me out you must show me this marvel of science."
The scientist agrees and bends down to pick up some dirt.................God say, "Nope get your own dirt"

good job luke o on the text searching
unfortunatley the instructions go deeper than one or two verses. Jesus had just went through a series of people who he had asked to follow him and time after time they had something more important to do. then in Luke chp. 10 he starts sending out missionaries to go to the villages ahead of him. these missionaries are instructed by Jesus to not let anything become more important than what it is i have sent you for. "you are not going to start a new business but to prepare for my coming."
Luke 10:7
"And stay in that house, eating and drinking what they give you; for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not keep moving from house to house.
these guys still worked, ate, drank, slept. their focus however was to be on preparing for Jesus's coming
edit: oh and the word scrip that you think means bible is actually the greek word pera which means wallet

can you show me in the Bible where any Christian, has asked non-believers to fund a Christian mission?
as a Christian myself I find your fund raising doctrine, a little inappropriate.
most of the Churches i have attended, have raised the cash within the there Church congregation.

Then what do the words (shoes, purse and salute) really mean since they must be Greek too?
Oh, and there still isn't any mention of fund raising. Fund raising like an Earthly king would have to do in order to send people places...
