Friend is MIA - 2 kids with 1 on the way - Vanished!

URL of Flyer

My buddie Nick dissappeared after work on the 13th. He had told his daughter that he would make valentines with her that night when he got home. He called his wife from work letting her know he would be coming home and told his co-worker that he was going to stop by the store on the way.

Its been over 48 hours now and he is all over the news up here.

Drives a 92 Toyota Paseo. Figure its a long shot, but keep your eyes open and call 911 if you hear of anything.

He lives for his family, so I don't see him picking up an splitting.

Keeping an eye peeled on the Island, for what that's worth. Not too far away for a remote chance.

That sucks! First thought is, walk the route he would drive, if there is any brush that could possibly hide a single vehicle off the roadway.

Thanks... yes, we have about 50 people doing this. BUT PLEASE... share suggestions. Outside the box etc... Anything to get this family back together safely if there is a way.

Probably stuck in a Seattle traffic jam.

On the serious side, does he have a cell phone, and are the local po po willing to request a GPS trace?

I hate to hear this and best of luck to finding him.

Since it was valientines day you might try and figure out if he was doing something to suprise his wife, thus traveling a different route.

Good luck

Do you know the wireless provider of his cell phone? You cannot activate a trace without legal and technical issues, but there are ways around this.

Find the wireless carrier and start from the top. The top exec can authorize a local scan from their internal database. The key is to look for any activities in the cell phone. If it is still on the network, send a SMS/MMS/Ping to the cell phone will get you back a response back with a Cell/sector ID.

Cell ID would typically narrow the search grid down to 5 square miles in urban areas.

Good luck!

Oh You cannot activate a GPS search on the phone via a GSM network. On a CDMA network, it is difficult (but not impossible) to do without some specialize work.

Unfortunatly his cell was dead from the morning of the 13th. So he was at work all day with a dead cell. Great thoughts, but you can't ping a cell with no signal. In the movies they can though.

both are missing. This is just unreal and unbelievable. If you pray, please pray for Nick. There are over 100 people looking for him on the ground. Plus many other areas like this forum

any possibility of him running off the road between his office and his home?

I'm sure people are checking the obvious things/places...but I just thought I'd ask...
