Woody. Would it be possible to overlay the "members only" sub-chat with the regular chat? That is, members of sub-chat visiting chat would see regular and sub-chat threads in one place; guests would see only the regular chat threads?

I've seen this done on other boards, with members only threads showing up after you log in.

It's a little schizo to bounce back and forth.

that's not an option with the 'stock' vBulletin setup, and with a new version being released in the next few weeks with some MAJOR kewl new features, I'm not making any special hacks.

IMO, there is also the large possibility that folks within the chat group may forget what section they are in....
