Amphibious Toyota WWII

I thought this would be interesting for some

Amphibious Truck "Su-Ki"
Introduced Year : 1943
Weight : 6.4 ton
Dimensions: 7.6 x 2.2 x 2.4(h) m
Speed (max) : 65 km/hr
Engine : Gasoline Engine 65 HP
Production Qty : 198
Manufacturer : Toyota

Su-Ki is the amphibious truck developed by IJA. It is based on Toyota 4x4 Truck "To-Ki". Su-Ki was deployed in the forces on the Pacific islands.

I wonder if there are still remote positions full of ancient Japanese soldiers in
the Pacific, who don't yet know the War is over. Their Toyotas are probably still in top mechanical condition.

It looks like a commercial boat converted rather poorly to an amphibian. Notice how the wheels and running gear hang down badly below the hull, unlike the DUKW, which was purpose built. The whole thing strikes me as a poor, expedient copy of a DUKW.

It is possible that WWII Japanese holdouts may still be around. Every year it gets less and less likely--they would be about 80 years old or older.
