Does this bug anyone else?
When people use multiple exclamation points or question marks?
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
??????????????????????
As if that makes the statement more exclamatory or the question more, well, questionable.
It reminds me of people who say, "I gave 110%" which, in itself, is a flawed statement as there is no such thing as giving more than 100% of one's ability.
All one has to give is 100% of their ability, right?
It is illogical.
While I am on track with this, does anyone know the difference between "you're" and "your".
Which one is possessive??????????
That is all!!!!!!!

If you've never had the experience of finding yourself performing at a higher than your usual level, that's a shame Not in a sport?? There can be moments in which your focus can be so perfect as to take you to another level in performance of just about any activity. Every martial arts deliberately trains for this and every high level athlete knows it's possible to sometimes reach performance levels of 110, 125, even 200% of their normal levels. Sometimes it's called a zen state and it's a trick to maintain for long but it certainly isn't illogical.
Take a pill or something!!! Do you feel alright????

It is illogical from the standpoint of pure logic.
If you feel you are achieving 150% of your "normal level" then it is apparent that you simply never achieved 100% before.
I am not all upset about it, nor am I losing sleep over it so I do not need a pill.
Actually, I do feel alright. As a matter of fact, I am 172% of normal.

You are supposed to have a question mark there, multiple ones.
Also, three (3) period marks is the standard for an open ended sentence.

Your education must have been somewhat lackluster, as you're asking a very basic grammar question...

Yes, lackluster.
I never said I was a master of the English language, nor am I suggesting it. All I asked was if it bugged anyone.
Simple question.
I don't really see your point. Or is it you're point?
Can't know.

You're right on about the multiple exclamation points and question marks.
Your use of them is questionable.

How many people are idiots when it comes to basic grammar?

You're too uptight for your own good. You're in need of a drink of some of your liquor.
I didn't realize you posted the Clear Creek thread. You're going to have to take some photography lessons from Nat so you can post some hot photos of your girlfriend.

I agree on the "above" 100% statement, but I think it is acceptable by mainstream Americans so not much you or I can do about it.
Your means belonging to you. You're means you are. And I will add that as you ask above, which means what, you should follow with one of these, (?).
If the multiple exclamations etc. bother you, good luck with that, because now that you have pointed it out I am sure the regulars here are going to do it to death.

Um, just so you guys know, and in case anyone else could not sense my sarcasm through my post, the question about "your" and "you're" was rhetorical.
I actually know the difference and have known since Schoolhouse Rock was on TV back in the early 70's.
