JSU doesn't offer the complete college experience that a bigger school does. I would hate to be a Jax state sports fan.

True, true...the cocks won a D II football national title when I was there and we weren't exactly partying in the streets.

So, why did Alabama officials agree to pay Saban so much money? Because they can. While some SEC schools complain about the rising costs and keeping up with the Joneses -- these are the Joneses...This is what college football is like here in the Heart of Dixie, and what the rest of the teams in this southern solar system can only hope to experience.

This is interesting. The number of times Nick Saban was referenced per 1 million articles by geographic location. I'm not sure how accurate it is but...

Here is the entire site.

Damn, I notice a faint hue of red in the north section of Louisiana and back down by Baton Rouge/Thibodaux area. He's been all over the paper here lately. Our own smack talking coach (thinks the PAC 10 are a bunch of *******, and he's right) isn't getting that much ink. Once the varsity reports, Saban will be history until the Bama game.

I never venture on this side of the tracks, but I had to see what M (Cajun65) was talking about. Nothing compares to SEC football.

Some good reads.

I'm here for the support bud, I'm as much a football freak as I am a Landcruiser freak. Need to get that tv up in the shop or I won't see the Landcruiser except on Tues, Wed and Fri during regular season.

I see what you're doing. You're popping this thread back up so you can blame us for the demise of chat!

I don't look at camp reports. I wait until the 1st game and then analyze the situation.

I played in high school. Does that matter? Can you not be a fan if you didn't ever play football?

Nice use of font size, color, and smilies. Very impressive. Did your English teacher at the 'SEC powerhouse' not teach you to use "an" before vowel sounds?

Notice that he also said he went for two years. They taught English in the third year so he missed it.

I played 4 years at the University of Louisiana (at Lafayette) or as Wob says, ULala

Edit: See avatar. That's me about to crush a defender from Arkansas State. No, I'm not falling. That's Jake Delhomme in the background.
