| Anyone ever SELL their LC TO Cruiserparts.net? Hello,
I'm in the process of selling (trying to) my 1983 FJ60, but having a difficult time. Another FJ60 owner contacted me today, asking whether I'd like to sell my FJ60 to Cruiserparts.net. He is thinking about selling his to Cruiserparts as well, and if we collectively get a truck to transport both cruisers (+ any additional cruisers, if needed), it will be easier on ALL parties.
So, my question is...
Has anyone ever sold their beloved cruiser to Cruiserparts.net, and if so, what was your experience?
Any information would be greatly appreciated, in terms of the above question, but also any constructive criticism of my asking price, etc. FYI, my FJ60 for sale is titled: "FS: 1983 FJ60 in San Jose, CA." Thanks for reading. |

| DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT SELL TO CRUISERPARTS.
Sorry, but have had nothing but horrible experiences and I dont want to see them ruin another or two more Land Cruisers. Someone will buy your cruiser, just dont sell it to Cruiserparts.

| what are you trying to get for your rig? These vehicles are becoming more and more sought after. you shouldnt have a problem selling it provided its not a rusted out hulk. |

| I cant tell from the pics how bad the rust is. If its not too bad you could still get $1000-1200 for it. |

| I had a fine experience selling a 62 to James. No problems at all.
I'd do it again in a heartbeat. |

| I had a fine time when I sold them my rusted out 60. I got a check for the truck a couple of days after we agreed on a price. I think he had it picked up within a couple of weeks. Very painless process for getting rid of a rust bucket. I hate to say it, but not all Cruisers can be saved

I do not want to see this turn into a vendor bashing thread. I am just curious. |

| I bought a frame from them. They told me it was for a 60 and that everything was set. I didnt know enough at the time to know a 60 frame from a 62. I sandblasted and POR15ed it. After I Finished POR15ing it I saw that it said 62 on it. Gave them a call they wouldnt help. Telling me they said it was a 62 frame, well they never did. Let me tell you, I am happy that I do a lot of my buying through email because I saved all my messages and he never said that it was a 62. Ofcourse that didnt help, he still wouldnt do anything. The best he would do is swap it. Well he wouldnt take into consideration the $150 of POR and all my time spent on the frame and would only exchange it for one of equal value as I paid them $600.
I also bought a 4WD emblem from them for my brother. I didnt know that he needed the clips also. So I emailed him asking if he could send the clips. The clips arrive and didnt work, so we called them he said "the clips arent reusable" THEN WHY DID YOU SEND THEM?!? I will never do buisness with them ever again. I am also going to do what I can to warn people about him and how is customer service is nonexistant. They seemed like nice people when I picked up the frame although dont think I met James.
Sorry about the rant, it just really angers me.

im sorry to hear nothing got resolved | Me too, I thought he would "man" up a little and try to fix it. Since I was spreading how displeased I was all around MUD and I am again. Its a little better since I havent finsished the swap and I havent decided if I am going to. I keep finding more rust so I think I might just turn it into a truggy type thing. I am thinking of chopping it behind the rear seat and tubing it out something like "saggin wagon" on Xtreme. But I am changing my mind everyday.

| I think the guy's in NH. I've heard mixed reviews on him...some people have repeatedly been happy with his service, and others avoid him like the plague.
I haven't done any business with him yet.

| Sold a 60... 2 years ago...no problems. Have also bartered and traded items with him. James has (in all my dealings) always made good on any discrepancies or issues (all minor) in my 15-30 transactions over the past 4 years. Highly recommend if you know what you're doing and need.

| He have to be real specific James sometimes. I forget what I bought from him one but it was rusty as hell and another time I got a dist. boot but it had a couple of holes in it. And everytime he has come through. I still buy stuff from him. |

| I have sold a few rigs to James, a 60, a 62 and a 40 I think. Prices were fair, they came and picked it up, left the check in the mailbox.

| I sold a 62 that spent most of its life at the Cape and running the salty roads of New England. It was pretty bad off I guess. I got 800 for that, the 60 was probably the same condition, but I took the motor from that..I think I sold it for 600, and then a lot of parts off of a 40 he came out and picked up a la carte. I think he paid 400 for the parts.
He's a good guy IMO. I dont have a single complaint. I'm happy he's around to take these things off my hands when Im done with the parts I need. The 40 tub and frame he wasnt interested in so I spent 2-3 months tossing a few parts here and there into the trash. I tried to give that stuff away in the end and nobody was interested. Had fun with a sawzall tearing it down that day.
