Rusty runs or my moment of joy today

Ever have one of those days with your cruiser where months of angony seem worth it just because of one small thing?

Today after months of sitting in pieces my cruiser has its fenders, aprons and bib reinstalled, reconnected coil wire and battery and dropped the fuel lines into a 3gallon gas can and after about 5 minutes of working the key IT STARTED!!!

It has not run in about 2-3 months and I can only say that it has made all the work I've been doing feel so great! It is far from complete but man it sure was nice to know that it is closer than it feels

Anyone have one of these types of moments with their cruiser that made a long project seem like it was only a few days?

you mean the K5 my husband worked on for months and that I was already secretly wondering how I would ever get a non-running hulk of steel out of our beautiful garage..........

it felt great when he started it again after a LOOONG winter

yeah, it felt greater to re-start my cruiser after re-wiring it
