| Home Invasion *update*!
So the wife just called me- she was sitting outside the house playing with the sprout when a guy walks past.
The guy looked familiar, the clothes looked familiar... it was the guy that tried to break in through our living room window!
For whatever reason, she decided to shoot out a "Hey, where's your bike?" at him instead of calling the cops first. (dude made his get-a-way on a bicycle).
He stops and talks with her for a bit- says his bike is in Coalville... and he's homeless but has been living in the area for a couple of weeks. Staying at friends' houses, etc... (Todd?)
So anyway, the guy was probobly on drugs when he tried to break in, too stoned to realize this wasn't his buddies place...
I made her call the cops again anyway. Hopefully they'll catch up to him this time.

I have a friend who used to own a shop in Marina Del Rey years ago. Some weird teenager tried to rob him at knife point. The kids was so obviously freaked out my friend replied with "Go get your dad..." and the kid ran off.

| Props to the wife. 
When I finally found the guy that was stealing everyone's newspapers (then selling them in traffic a couple blocks away--actually, right in the Holland Tunnel traffic right outside the restaurant, Doc), I called him over and talked to him for a couple minutes. I tried to convince him that he actually was doing a great job--keeping a schedule, knowing when to steal them, how to avoid detection, how to get them all to his selling point, etc. I said it must be a lot of hard work, and that he should think about turning legit.  He got this worried look on his face. Said he couldn't hold a real job because he did too many drugs. 
So I shot him.
