My itinerary in Australia!

For all those in Australia who PMed me about meeting up. I finally got my detailed itinerary. Unfortunately I'm running out the door to go to the airport and I haven't had time to sort through all of the pms to figure out who I will be near when.

Arrive Ayers Rock Airport at 12.50. On arrival you will be met by a representative of Sahara Tours for your 3 day tour of Ayers Rock, The Olgas and Kings Canyon.

Transfer to your permanent campsite for lunch. The afternoon is spent exploring Kata Tjuta (The Olgas), before travelling to Uluru (Ayers Rock) to take in a spectacular sunset. Later return to camp for a traditional Aussie meal. After dinner, relax around the camp, under the huge, starry desert skies.

Overnight camping at Ayers Rock Resort Permanent Campsite.

Note, my cell will be sketchy till we get to Darwin. WE ARE OUT BACK…. AND OUT BACK IS OUT BACK…..

Yulara to Kings Creek

It's an early rise today for an exciting morning with breathtaking views of sunrise at Uluru (Ayers Rock), a World Heritage listed area. Join your knowledgeable guide for a base tour of Uluru, exploring ancient caves where Aboriginal paintings can be seen. A fascinating time learning about the oldest culture in the world. This afternoon, travel through red sand dune & desert oak country to Kings Creek Cattle Station where optional activities are abundant. Tonight, try a traditional "camp oven" dinner, cooked in the coals of the fire.

Kings Creek to Alice Springs

This morning visit breathtaking Kings Canyon. There's no rush, as you hike around the canyon rim viewing sites like the "Lost City" and the "Garden of Eden", as well as the striking North and South Walls. There are plenty of opportunities for photos. Return to Kings Creek Station for lunch before travelling through sand dune country as you head to Alice Springs, arriving approx. 5.00pm at the Alice Springs Train Station.

You will be set down at the Alice Springs Train Station to check in for The Ghan rail journey.

Depart Alice Springs at 6.00pm. Sit back and enjoy the desert landscape as you depart for Katherine.
