Got one of those running around the neiborhood, eats my neibor's chihuahuas for snacks.
Worried about my kids & my Lab.

If that's the kitty, I'd hate to see the doggie!

| One of my Marines saw one out side his house last month.
The next day he was talking to his neighbors (about a 1/4 mile down the road) and apparently it had killed his dog.
He is pretty worried about it now because his wife just gave birth to their first child. |

| I went with my kid's class to the zoo once, they all gathered by the leopard cage for a presentation by the zoo staff. It was funny how one leopard was really focusing on a pair of small children that had wandered off from the group, flicking his tail, and crouching.

| We have them in my neighborhood as well.
My property backs up to a 10,000 acre cattle ranch and on the other side of that is the Seqouia National Forest. The first time I saw one I took pictures since it was in my back yard. The second time I saw it, it was eating my neighbors 5 year old great dane. The dog got out and must have thought it could chase the big kitty away.
When it gets hot we have bears playing in the pond in my front yard and bobcats that use it as a waterbowl. Haven't seen a Lion in my yard since last fall. |

Javelinas dont care for dogs, I've got a $350 vet bill to prove it.

| I haven't yet seen one, hopefully I dont, but my neighbor told me that he has seen one sunning itself on a large rock outcropping directly behind my deck. There are lots of warning signs around our neighborhood as well. |

The first time you see an adult one in the wild, you will shee-it yourself. They can grow to be 9' nose to tail. That is a greater distance than most farmers fence posts are spaced at. |
