1990 fj62 land cruiser being raffled off

every year, the colorado assoc of 4wd clubs has built a jeep to raffle off...well not this year dangit. this year, we're going classy and raffling off a quality vehicle. help rising sun show that toyotas will earn the most, and purchase your ticket today.

money is used for next years raffle rig and to help keep public lands public.

the vehicle is a 5/89 fj62. so far, we've got a rebuilt 3fe with the head shaved, alcan 3" lift, 1"body lift from roger brown of 4crawler off road, shiney new grill from those boys down south, lone star land cruisers, anti inversion shackles, rocky mountain cruisers has ordered us an arb snorkle, new exhaust as soon as the motor's in, new procomp tires and rims from 4wpw, shiney new champagne paint job, driver's seat's been refoamed and all the seats have tuff duck covers courtesy of spector off road, long range fuel tank from man a fre, slee off road's got us a rear tire/spare carrier, solid rock off road (2badfjs) is building the sliders as we speak, dave gore (4+) is working on the front bumper, royal purple and lucas are taking care of the fluids, and we've got more planned!

for buildup pics, go to either risingsun4x4club.org, or hightrails.org. the drawing will be december 1st at the Caravan for Kids event at Jeffco Fairgrounds, winner doesn't need to be present. If you're out of state, we will tow it to the shipper of your choice, just ask the guy in Cali that won last years scrambler.

there's a form to purchase tickets at hightrails.org
http://hightrails.org/raffle_tickets.html

purchase often and purchase lots, let's show those jeep guys what the world really wants.

here's a couple of pics from its debut at the rv, sports boat and travel show, fresh outta the paint oven to wet your appetite...

sweet!!! woody gave a sticky!!!

to keep y'all updated, worked both days on the rig this weekend. got windows installed, yanked seats and passenger carpet to clean underneath and get the carpet all properly cleaned up, installed new tuff duck covers (thanks sor) on all, but the drivers will be getting new bottom sor foam this week.

got a 1" body lift from 4crawler off road installed (for those that read tt, roger brown of the truck tech column cranked out the lift), got the shackles from epocs mfg and greasable bolts from southwest 4x4 installed. starting to look like a rig again. it will be going to uncle bens to get the powertrain installed next week (saw it right after he built it...shaved head and all, and it looks beautiful!). steve at advanced air has shipped out a powertank to pop into the rear (check out steve's rig...he's this months calendar boy!).

also, got something special for the center console...charles wells sent latest editions of his two colorado books and his moab book, so you can find all those cool trails!

remember, this is to raise money for land use issues. for those that think land use in colorado won't help you, remember, any legal cases regardless of the state they are fought in, are used as precendence in all legal cases, so it all ties in together! land use isn't a pleasant thing, but very important!

here's some more eye candy for y'all.

got a bunch more done today.

christo slee put one of his rear bumper/tire carriers on, 2badfjs swung by and put on the solid rock off road sliders, got a ton of small parts put on, got the headlight doors that lone star land cruisers donated put together. we were gonna slap the grill on, but figured we'd leave it off until the ac was charged 'cause they'll probably need to replace orings. new seat foam on the drivers seat from specter off road...this things coming together.

was really neat to hear it run!!!

check out some blinging pictures.
