| anybody living near Frankfurt (Main) in Germany? I have found a nice HZJ80 for sale. But it is 1300km from me :-(, near Frankfurt (Main) in Germany.
If someone living nearby could take a look on this HZJ80 conditions, I would be deeply grateful.

Boy, that brings back old memories... My grandparents were from Frankfurt am Main and we used to go there on occasion for a visit. IIRC (hopefully my memory still serves me right after 40 years), it's not very far from Frankfurt, I believe we could get there with the 'Trambahn' (tramway)...

Should take about 20 mins by car to get from Bad Hombourg to Frankfurt am Main.
So yes that looks like a good option for Aklosak.

| [Hi,
i do live in Bad Homburg, and i know the guy or better his cars. I have been there several times, but always on of the following options met:
1. The car is already sold (as he is a international seller, he turns fast)
2. The car is not suitable for europe, as some parts are bad, meaning to expensive to repair in germany (one the other hand, he is telling these things)
3. Condition was even with low kilometers bad, as there were often UN Cars, and they vary especially in terms of rust etc.
So my conclusion was, they can be interesting, but after all i decided not to buy from him, as you typically have no history of the car, and technical i need assistance myself. |

| Hi,
visited the HZJ today, as i was only 100 m away, i could not resisit.
Was already sold, like 4 other HZJ 75/78 hanging around. Condition was not that bad, low km, but some cracks in paint with rust below and no extras, no locks etc..
There was one PZJ 75 (5 cylinder diesel) for 11.000 € left incl. AC, and on my way home a saw an HDJ 80 (turbo diesel like mine) VX, which could also be interesting.
Johannes will sent his cars all over the world and as he is doing this all day long, so he knows how to do it (at least i suggest).
Cheers Frank |
