| WOW!!! look what I scrounged.......what should I do with it?? I have been in charge of the move from our old facility to our new one, so I have been scrounging and scavenging in the left over stuff. I found this bitchen Pyrex bell jar. It is 12" across and 18" tall.
What should I use it for? The ideas I have come up with so far: an aquarium, terrerium, cloud chamber......... What do you guys think?
Its my son (7) holding the tape. He loves it too of course

| Why not put a glass plate underneath it, one that's larger in diameter than the jar opening. Put a nice tropical plant in a pretty pot on the plate, and seal the jar with some petroleum jelly along the jar base edge, when you set the jar lid down onto the plate.
Instant beautiful tropical terrarium. Easy, fast, not necessarily very expensive. Quick and easy to change plants.
But remember to open it for a while, to get fresh air in there - maybe once a week or so!
You can't use it to enclose a Jacob's ladder, unless you add a perforated glass plate on the bottom thru which the wires/electrodes must pass, as your bell jar has no valve on its top.
Why not just do like my hubby does, with his 25KV Jacob's ladder, and use it out in the open? Why bother to enclose it under glass? Just live a little dangerously...
Hubby will happily watch stupid people play with his open Jacob's ladder.
Did I say it's 25KV?
Alternatively, you could use it for .........
a space helmet for a grossly misshapen elongated small head.
or to keep an elf, or a fairy, prisoner.

| Drill a hole in it, attach a glass plate to it, turn it upside down and put a candle in it with some sea glass
