| Random THOUGHT...how much to cut off a finger? So if someone offered you say $100,000 to cut off your pinky finger, would you take the money? We're talking normal surgical digit removal here...not some Quentin Tarantino 4-rooms bellhop hack job...
Some friends were talking about this, just for your pinky, $100K? $200K? How much for a index finger...or a thumb? $500K? $1mil?
I'd like to say I wouldn't do it, no matter the money, but I know that seeing alot of money, knowing that money could change your life, be debt free, etc...that would be a damn hard decision...especially for a tiny finger that doesn't do much at all...

| Back in the 80s, when I was a resident, a little old lady came into the ER with a small box and her hand wrapped up. I got to interview her first. She reported that her neighbor had cut her thumb off. Naturally curious, I inquired as to how this surprising event came about, and she admitted she'd ask him to do it.
It seems she suffered (as many older folks do) from arthritis of the base of her thumb. During the course of an evening's imbibement with her neighbor, he offered her guaranteed relief in the form of DMSO, a popular analgesic. If that failed, he promised, he would excise the offending digit.
As happens all too often, unfortunately, the remedy did not live up to it's inflated reputation. In their state, the two felt there was no option but to proceed with the excision. He actually did a fairly clean job of disarticulating the joint and disposing of her thumb. Unfortunately, they'd not made a plan for hemostasis, and therefore the presentation.
The hand surgeon declined to replace her finger. I never found out if the therapy was ultimately successful.

| In the japanese Yakuza first major f-up and you cut off one of your fingers to regain face, depends on how bad you fed up as to wich finger you choose. I dont think you get a second chance, but havnt herd more than the finger salvation for the fist offence.
(ide cut off my finger right here and now with my fj cruiser trail team multi tool if someone would pony out 100k)

Just dawned on me how much I use it for typing...although I'm sure I'd learn something...my aunt is missing the index finger on her left hand (she was holding a block of wood my uncle was splitting when they were kids...axe 1 finger 0)...she plays the piano perfectly, types perfect, you'd never know she was missing a finger, not sure how she does it...

| Pinky not for sale, plus you would look deformed without it, chicks don't dig missing fingers.
when I was a teenager a buddy worked at a place that made pool tables, lots of min wage guys and big wood saws, on top of common accidental lost fingers he said guys would intensionally lop off fingers to get a pay out, I don't remember exactly what it was but it was not much like less than $500. several guys there with multiple missing fingers.

| All your digits are belong to us.
WTF? You bitches are cheap. $100k after taxes is barely enough for 2 trips to Home Depot (especially if they keep stealin your wallet).
$500k for the litte fingers, more for the bigger ones. Now toes are a different story....

| I would chop the ring finger before the pinky. Lose the ring finger, and the shocker becomes that much easier. |

| I wouldn't go for the pinky finger either. Like wob, that's the one I hold up in the air when I drink.
And how would you ever be able to do a convincing Dr. Evil impression?
