Wink HJ60 seeks similar HJ60 for platonic relationship in Cali

Here I am in San Francisco, with Max - my HJ60 and . . . . well, I'm a girl and my landcruiser needs a friend. Someone who knows diesel landcruisers, someone who cares about their well being. My brother/mechanic is leaving and I just want to make sure that my landcruiser stays happy. I will trade you food/cooking, beer, 420, company to love my landcruiser from time to time. Let's let our landcruisers hook up, maybe they can breed, and we'll have many diesel landcruisers.

Not many HJ60s in Cali. There is Davids (iron_giant on mud), and mine (build thread here http://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.p...ht=hj60+build).
Michael's (tlcruiserman here on mud) garage (westcoastcruisers.org) does service them, but it is in San Diego...

Cheers,
Jan

uhh, ok. I'm in. there are quite a few us actually. Zander on the board has a really nice build-up on-going and i believe he's in the Bay area. A friend of mine, also a girl, has a high roof JDM 60 she picked up from Seattle. Luckily parts are readily available and it's really not rocket science to work on these motors.

...which is just like an hj60, only different body, different motor, different drivetrain and ... um... the hubs! the hubs are the same! See. Exactly the same.

Exactly how old is this 'HJ60' we're talking about? I know diesel systems and mechanics, and depending on the fringe benefits I could move out there for the summer as an 'intern' somewhere. I'll bring my 40, while that's not an HJ60, it's a start until I can get my own HJ60...

It's an canadian '87. I know it's not rocket science, but I just fugured that what could take me days to figure out on my own, could be a five minute job for someone who knows what they're doing. Also, I've never seen another running diesel cruiser other than my own and I'd kind of like to. I don't have much money - I can't afford to pay someone $90/hr or whatever to put in a new tail light relay and replace my locks. . . . simple things - I know. . . . so I was hoping that one of you kind cruiser heads could help a gal out for some sort of trade. I'd post pictures, but it requires money . . . . however, and perhaps you will all hate me now, I have a myspace and so does my landcruiser . . . . me - http://www.myspace.com/moonshineavenue

post some pics on here. The myspace keeps wanting me to be logged on...

I think you can link the url on here so the pic is actually hosted still on myspace. Give it a try.

You should also join the nearest cruiser club. Alot of cruisers are similar, so its a great place to meet people and learn about yur cruza.

I guess it would be the bay cruisers..... I dunno. They are all listed at the bottom of the content page. You will see the TLC clubs. Go on there board and find how to join.
