| dog dragged behind truck
2 kids (18 + 19) from Dwinton Alberta were reportedly charged in connection with a collie/lab cross that was dragged for km behind their truck down the road. there was a blood trail leading down the road to the dog.
they had beat the dog and then duct tapped it's legs together and dragged it. they then dumped the dog and a passerby noticed the dog, it could barely lift it's head. every bone was broken and the vet had to put the dog down.
the kids are claiming they were on drugs and didn't know what they were doing.
anyone else hear this story?
if it is true then i am just sick, well either way i am sick just thinking about what that dog would have gone through.
on drugs, drunk, mother abused you or dad raped you, none of these are excuses for animal cruelity and definately not to this extreme...

| You know that I love my dog as much as you love yours, Wayne...and hearing stuff like that makes my blood boil also. Research has shown that people who are cruel to animals eventually become seriously cruel to people later on...so those kind of scum need to be treated seriously and taken out of society. | |

| Yes it is true... I saw this on the evening news last week. They showed the poor Lab .. she (i think) was in terrible condition from head to tail. Despite the abuse and serious injuries, they reported she was very compliant and gentle.
At the time it was too early for them to know the outcome of her injuries ... she looked real bad -- that poor Lab.
As far as the shitheads ... IMO nothing less than dragging them around the block so they can experience the intense long-lasting burning sensation that asphalt leaves when under the skin... or what's left of the skin.
An eye for an eye is in order on this one.

| I've got a friend whose mother did the same thing!!! Except she didn't know that the dog had been tied to the ball hitch! She dragged the poor thing across town, went she finally notice this, the dog had only knees for it feet! Fawking gross!

| x5 tie em up and drag them. let them take whatever "drugs" they were on first....clearly since the drugs they were taking made it so they didnt know they were hurting the dog etc. then they shouldnt recognize the pain as they are dragged behind somones truck! | |

| I have 3 dogs and if anyone did that to one of them, I would probably end up in jail while the other guy woud be in the hospital with a long painful recovery in a wheelchair. I cant imagine what the poor dog was going through. Puts a tear in my eye thinking about it. So sad. I know there are plenty more cruelty acts out there with no reports on them. Used to work at a vet hospital.  | |

I doubt they will even do jail time. If they were under 16 they won't even have a permanent record and they will have to beat the shit of their wives several times before they get time.
I heard on the news that the town is outraged and a petition is going around to change laws or something. The bleeding heart liberals will somehow construe this to be societies' fault and the kids will walk.
Sometimes it sucks to be Canadian.
