Bend, OR & Off-road opportunities....

Hey All,

Family and Cruiser are down in the Bend area for a few days and are looking for some good spots to exercise the t-case and stretch the Cruiser's legs offroad.

Any good suggestions on where to go? Good trail rides for little ones? Rides where body armour and lockers are NOT required?

Thanks in advance,
-dogboy- '87 FJ60

From Bend head South on 97. At the sunriver junction there is a flashing yellow. If you turn left and go about 1/4 mile you will find a gravel pit on your right. Pull into the pit (great place for shooting trap and .22's) keep to the right and go around the pit and follow the trail around and around to the top of this little volcano. If you can get here just before sunrise I promise you the best view for miles.

This was around x-mas in my D-90, but still a beautiful place.

Not really a "t-case" trail but a nice drive:

Outside of the Camp Sherman store hang a left and go towards bridge 9. Just before the bridge on the right there is a dirt road that travels over the hill and on the SE side of Billychinook it goes clear over to HWY 97 just outside of Madras. Nice drive but like I said 4x4 not needed.
