Need some iTunes/iPod help

I want to find that smug little bastid from the Apple commercial and wring his neck...

My wife got me a 30GB iPod for my b-day, but I can't get album art to play on my iPod. It's loaded correctly within itunes (v 7, and ipod v 1.2, everything up-to-date) and all the correct options to display album art are checked, but no go on the actual ipod. BTW, the ipod "technical support" site blows. Grrrrr. I've tried everything. mutliple sync's. Deselecting display option, syncing, selecting display option and re-syncing, synched from 2 different USB ports, nada... This in on a Dell PC, Win XP. I downloaded all of the album art from the itunes store, so it's all legit. I thought all this Apple stuff was all flawless? A quick google search shows I'm not the only one with this problem, but no solutions I found have worked so far. Even on songs I've purchased through itunes won't display album art. Movies play just fine though., even the one from my digital camera of the cruiser in action. Any ideas?

Try going online and dragging the picture from the album cover onto the spot on iTunes that says Album Art. I dont know if this will work or not because I have teh old school brick ipod.

The album art is showing up OK inside of itunes now. It just won't download/display onto the iPod, even with the preference set to display album art. I keep wanting to type iPOS...subliminal?

I got mine to work o-k w/ PC, but it was a PITA and I ended up buying a Samsung MP3 player.

I do not care about album art so I have never fuqued w/ that. I know some songs have it, some don't. I just do not care about the art...
