cool toyota...

sup fellas,

went to an awesome car museum a couple weekends ago here in nashville...

and saw this lil' lady:

pretty effin cool if you ask me...

this is the toyota s800...and this model is one of 41 left hand drive models ever made. the 41 got imported into the us in '67 so dealers could look them over and see if they thought they would sell...after this toyota decided not to pursue them, so they let the dealerships just buy the lefthand drive models if they wanted them...pretty cool.

the museum is awesome. it's a converted sunbeam bread factory just slammed full of cars...almost entirely european. www.lanemotormuseum.com

here are some more of my bud's pics from our visit.

and it only cost 5 bones to get in...definitely worth it.

oh, and get this...the guy drives all of the cars...they all had tn license plates. i've seen him drivin down west end in nashville a couple of times since i went to the museum. so that makes the whole collection that much cooler...

I wonder if that had anything to do with the supposed Toyota-Nissan deal where Nissan agreed not to sell patrols and Toyota not to sell sports cars... hmm...

Some very very cool cars in that museum. I'd love to visit it some day. Tiny cars are always interesting to me.
