Hummer2, 3- how stupid are people?

What gives? 5 years ago GM couldnt hardly give an S10/S15 away... now they slap a dorky ass looking body on it and BAM youhave an H3 (dont people look under neath at what the car is?) Yes i knwo the H2 is the same way - TahoeBlazer whatever underneath...... sure the first "Humvee" was and still is cool as sh*t (and the newest version od it the "Alpha")

But why would one spend so much on an S10 with a goofy ass looking body, I know they have the 5 cylinder but thats not all its cracked up to be.
who would have put a 33s on an S10 !? it would spelled disaster for the drivetrain components, and I see fruitcakes running 35 on these things! and they think they actully have a hummer!

Has anyone had the chance to see the off road antics of one of these? I have had the chance today and WOW I had to bite my tongue to keep from laughing out loud at this guy all day long- he had all the bling, and this guy with a rusty 83 Toyota pickup with 31s was walking circles around him all day long(its been rainy and it was a slopfeat everywhere today).

It became a joke when the H3 was about to try something we called the 83 over before he even began for extraction purposes. I knew these things sucked but this iced the cake.. ego had the best of the H3 guy and about 3pm he broke his front diff.

its gonna take alot of quarters to get that warranty claim (car wash on a roll back flat bed!)

I agree. I laugh and laugh every time I see an H2 with ghetto wheels and chromed all out. Might as be burning piles of cash.

Now... a REAL Hummer... a humvee... former military duty rig or military surplus rig... that's an entire different beast.

Not better than an LC... just a worthy beast in its own right.

Me, personally, I'd take a real humvee all rigged out with gun turrets, etc. if I could afford it. I can't see where/how I'd rig my FJ80 with such... lol

(at least I'd find a use for a fully-rigged real-deal hummer)

Dude, you KNOW the H3 kicks some serious a$$, I mean the dealerships have actual 4x4 trails to test them on, and I've heard they can even drive upside down, walk on water, heal people...oh, and I read somewhere on the Internet that they were like trail rated or something, wait, no that was Jeep, but the H3 is bigger, so it must be like, Mountain-rated or something...anyway, since it was on the internet I know it's true. H3's all the way man!

I saw my 1st H3 in oz last friday. a little pus yellow toy thing with lots of shiny chrome.
I couldnt believe how small it was as I looked down from my 73 series with 33 in and a 2inch lift.
They are selling them in oz for $60K AUD.
The same price as a fully optioned 280 HP turbo diesel troopy in real manly landcruiser colours of blue white red and green with Warn 8274 and ARB winch bar and Kaymar spare tyre carrier ,all dealer fitted.

Dont worry,the aussies know how to test(fawk) a 4wd.

So far never seen an H3 on the trail. I have seen numerous H2's on the trail around here and most of those guys seem to know what they are doing.
Keep in mind, I'm saying on the trail (3.0 to 4.0 rated).
Those POS's are a dime a dozen on the street.

They sure do attract attention, though. I think they look cool, but overpopulated. I would much rather be seen in my rigs. Cooler than a hummer and more personality.

I think i still have some pics around of some military HUMMV's after they did not land so well. They are about a foot to a foot and a half high.

What unit you fly with ?

Might have been on your bird once for a jump.
