I was fishing last night out by keystone lake in backwoods Oklahoma. My brother was with me and he had a pistol since he has his concealed carry and it was getting dark. Any way I pulled off the side of the road and drove (73 FJ-40) down to the lake on some pretty rough terrain. We drove around a bend till we could not drive any more and decided to fish there. Well, we find a tent back there with water cooler hanging in the trees and garbage everywhere. I figured some bums lived there or something. I started to get uneasy about the whole thing...feeling like someone was watching us. Oklahoma has some of the biggest meth manufacturers in the nation so I start thinking maybe that is what we came across or a pot field. I told my brother I didn't like feeling like I had to watched my back the whole time I was fishing so we left. A car pulls in when we are leaving (its dark now) and I see some guy walking down towards the tent. I take the road that I came down and come up to a big rock ledge that I drove off of to get there. I was sure that I was going to have to drive back by that guy and find another way out. I went ahead and pulled forward and the damn landcruiser crawled straight up the wall kept going till the back tires hit it spun a *tiny* bit and they climbed right up. I put my head lights right in the car window and took it out of 4low and we took off. Maybe it was nothing but it was nice to be able to see this thing perform like it is supposed to and may have kept me and my bro out of a fight or worse.
