Anyone in Utah want to make an easy $50? Ebayer ripped me off, need a collector.

Long story short, I paid someone $85 for some quad tires on Ebay almost three months ago. She admitted to receiving my payment and to "accidently" sending them to the wrong person. She promised me a full refund but never delivered. She has since sold over $500 worth of stuff, and I gave her an ultimatum to pay up by July 20th and she cancelled her account today. (July 20th)

I have her phone number and home address. If anyone would help me collect. I would give them at least $50 just out of principle of her ripping me off. She lives in West Haven, UT just outside of Ogden. Please let me know if you can help.

I DO NOT WANT HER PHYSICALLY, OR PSYCHOLOGICALLY THREATENED IN ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM. THE ORIGINAL INTENT OF THIS THREAD WAS TO FIND SOMEONE WHO WOULD BE WILLING TO PLAY THE ROLE AS A COLLECTOR, USING LEGAL MEANS. WHETHER THIS IS BY MULTIPLE PHONE CALLS, EMAILS, STOPPING BY HER HOUSE, ETC.

I don't believe her receiving multiple phone calls / emails from people calling her on being a thief would constittute any legal violation as long as the above was observed.

For all I know there is a member that lives down the road from her that would be willing to stop by on his way home from work a few times a week just to say, "Hey, you ever going to pay my buddy back?". Personally, I would just pay the money. This just seems like an easy attempt before filing a legal claim.

I'm all about pranks, but keep it legal.

I had someone do an identical thing with a cell phone in another state.
They give me every excuse under the sun and eventually closed their ebay account and changed their email.

I kept plugging away ,putting her name into google and found their new emails and home adress and then found her phone number

Also found some forums they particpated in.
They did some dumb stuff like give me one excuse one day and then completely retract it the next with another excuse.
Some days they sent email in font so small it could not be read unless you blew it up on the screen.
Well eventually she came clean,I had also reported her and her boyfrind to ebay and they refunded my money.

I know someone who is a debt collecter and he says most people will cave in if your persistent enough.

I would be posting her name and phone number up by now and email if you have it.

Give number and info to local Law Enforcement but I think that the Postal Inspectors actually would investigate this fraud (IIRC)... call you Post Office to see if that is the case. A visit from law enforcement will go a long way into at least scaring her. Work up some 'attorney's letterhead' on your computer and send her a registered or certified letter with some reasonable threats. Include all correspondence and data she sent you and NOTIFY EBay if you haven't already.

I like the newspaper idea, I also have a bunch of sites to register her for a crap load of junk mail.

Now its just a matter of principle, not about money. I don't take getting $hit stolen from me lightly.

You should post her email addy too. That way we could send her some emails asking her to do the right thing. Maybe send her the link to the wenzelling.
