| How do I know where to get my CO2 tank filled. Where can I get my CO2 Tank Filled - This link takes you to a listing of National Welders supplies and gases. After entering your zip code, make sure you call before going over.
Also, per the posts below. Fire Extenguisher Shops and Soda and Beer distributors are another source. In fact, My last fill was from a Fire Extenguisher sjop, but I have used some of the welding shops listed in the link as well.
I added this whole thread to the 80's section FAQ in the General section.

| the soda and beer distributors also carry CO2 and could well be much cheaper than the welding supplies based on my experience.

| Seals Compressed Gases on the left coast. Doesn't come up on Ken's link. About the same price as Biff's scuba shop.

| My local welding supply swaps out tanks. I think it's a good way to go as you don't have to wait or worry about tank recerts. 20lb tank for $10 refill after buying a tank from them ($80-90). I think they get a lot of 4x4 customers.
The link didn't return my place (Salem Industrial Welding Supply) probably because the refill facility is in another town.

| I Agree this is not a complete list. In fact, trying to get mine filled today, I eneded up taking it to a Fire Extenguisher shop called Red Comet. They filled it while I waited and it was half the price. |

| Most of the large welding supply places won't fill your tank, they only want to do exchanges.

They do fills on Thursday and Friday, and will do custom fills. They don't like to do 1 tank on the spur of the moment, but if you get the tank there on Wednesday, you can pick it up Friday. Not super convienient, but it works.

They sent my "pretty boy" Powertank to a 3rd party so I had to leave it for 2 days. $20 for 10lbs. I could probably save a few bucks going directly to whoever they used, but they're nice people and convenient.

Outa there in as much time as it took to fill the tank!
