Scepter MFC Gas(Viton) or Diesel(Rubber) seals?

Just so you do not experience the same issue(s) that I have with your scepter cans, take the time and confirm what you have under the lid. This my experience, I bought 4- OD diesel scepter cans a few months back after confirming the use for gas was not an issue. Just recently, I had the time to clean them, filling each of them with gas and stabil and stored them outside the garage in a safe area. In my travels, back and forth from the house to the garage, I noticed swelling (no big deal, common atomspheric result, heat/cool, etc....) Then I decided to try my set-up with the MFC can and a super siphon. I had a bear of a time trying to remove the lid from the can, upon applying additional (excessive) force, I could remove the lid and the seal promptly fell out on to the driveway. I inspected the lid and found that the flange which captures the seal and ensures alignment was torn. After googling the problem I discovered my intial oversight from this warning below.

This is a cross post link from expedition portal on scepter MFC fuel cans:

Scepter "Military" Fuel Can Gasket Alert! - Expedition Portal Forum

Fortunately, Kurt at expedition portal was able to deliver new viton seals, flanges and red straps, but these parts are becoming near impossible to source.

Kurt,

Thanks again! MUD has such great vendors! I appreciate your support for the site, and the work you have done to make such a hard to source item(s) available. I think my original ad did not give you credit for Cruiser Outfitters, and may have sounded like you are linked to expedition portal, sorry if this is the case.

Anyone have a source for the Viton seals (Kurts out) and replacement caps?

I have a damaged cap and am not spending $54 on ebay for cap only.
