Leaking Warn 8274
My 8274 has been leaking and leaving small spots on my driveway for several months. I can't really get a good look at where the oil might be coming from because of the way it is mounted on my ARB bumper. The only way I can remove the winch is to remove the bumper as well and I would rather not do that if I can get away with it. Anybody have any ideas of where these things usually leak from? I tried to google it but didn't come up with anything usefull.

Unless your lower case has a hole or crack (not likely) then it pretty much has to be your "drum seal". Look a little further down in this same forum and look for the thread titled (My 8274 rebuild part 1). It will show you the drum seal and tell you what you need to do to replace it. I believe I included the kit #. __________________ Flintknapper: '97 Land Cruiser, Moonglow Pearl Chocolate Lab (Kota), I miss you. ΜOΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ (come and take them) |
